We organized an FBS one-day bus trip to help international students connect with each other—and with Japanese students too.
- It was a perfect day for the bus trip—no rain and not too hot!
- It’s time for self-introductions.
- We hopped on the cable car and made our way to our first destination: Kobe Nunobiki Herb Gardens.
- We’ve arrived at the herb garden!
- We grabbed coffee, tea, juice, and soft-serve and had a laid-back café morning.
- We enjoyed checking out all kinds of herbs and flowers and even spotted a caterpillar we’d never seen before!
- We enjoyed exploring all kinds of scents at the aroma studio. The personality test based on fragrances was a fun activity.
- The lovely veranda offered a sweeping view of Kobe—and it even had a hammock to chill.
- Next up: lunch in Nankin-machi! We wandered through KOBE Chinatown and made it to the restaurant. We all gathered around a big round table.
- We enjoyed the food and talking over the delicious 9 different dishes.
- The interior decorations were lovely.
- Sitting around a round table and sharing dishes on a rotating table was a lot of fun.
- Now it’s time for crafts!
We made an aroma gel candle. The glass pieces were so cute.
- We got really into it. There were so many types of glass pieces to choose from!
- We ended up making a lovely rose-scented aroma gel candle—perfect for a gift.
- Good job, everyone: )
- Then we headed to the final stop of this bus trip: the Kitano Ijinkan district in Kobe.
- We visited the Weathercock House, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property, in Kobe’s Kitano Ijinkan district.
- We also explored inside the Moegi House.
- We walked a lot today.
Otsukare-sama!
- Here‘s hoping this event helped everyone make new friends!
Thank you for joining!
