We held an FBS One-Day Bus Trip. This event was held to promote exchange between international students as well as between international and Japanese students.
- Beautiful blue sky!
- Once we got on the bus, the event began!
- A professional guide gave a mini-lecture on Nara using her handmade materials.
- Arrived in Nara! If you have deer crackers in your hand...
- The hungry deer…
- Quickly gather around!
- Next, we headed to the National Treasure, the Great South Gate.
- We received an explanation from the guide.
- Took a group photo in front of Kagamiike Pond.
- We headed towards the National Treasure, Big Buddha Hall.
- The statue of the Great Buddha, about 15 meters high, was incredibly imposing!
- Students squeezed through a hole, which is said to be the size of the Great Buddha’s nostril.
- Took a short break in front of the cloister.
- We proceeded under the shade of beautiful trees.
- We visited the Great Bell, one of Japan’s three most famous bells, weighing 26.3 tons!
- After walking a lot…
- It's time for…
- Much-anticipated lunch break!
- We enjoyed Nara-style dishes like Persimmon Leaf Sushi and Nyumen Noodles.
- Finally, we headed to Kasuga Taisha Shrine, where we found a cute stone lantern with deer carvings.
- Here's hoping this event helped everyone make new friends!
