Multi-omics analysis of the hair follicle stem cell formation process

The hair follicle epithelial stem cells which play a central role in the homeostasis of adult hair follicles are thought to be generated in the fetal period along with organ morphogenesis but the mechanism of their formation is not fully understood. We are currently conducting a multi-omics analysis during the embryonic hair follicle stem cell formation process and exploring the molecular and functional differences between embryonic and adult hair follicle stem cells. Our goal is to elucidate the transition process from fetal to adult hair follicle stem cells. In this seminar we would like to share the results of our research to date and future prospects.
