Events for international students FBS One-Day Bus Trip to Kyoto

We held an FBS One-Day Bus Trip. This event was held to promote exchange between international students as well as between international and Japanese students. This time, we welcomed 25 students. We visited three World Heritage sites, To-ji Temple, Nijo-jo Castle, and Tenryu-ji Temple with the tour guide-interpreters.

The guides welcomed us warmly.

Start of the tour!

On the way, the guide explained facts and stories about each destination using handmade materials.

Arrived at To-ji Temple.

In front of the Lecture Hall, the guide gave us a mini-lecture in advance so that we can concentrate on the statues once we entered the hall.

Group photo in front of the Five-Storied Pagoda. It was the best weather for sightseeing with a blue sky and a nice breeze.

Arrived at Nijo-jo Castle.

The majestic Higashi Ote-mon Gate welcomed us.

Group photo in front of the Kara-mon Gate. The guide made F/B/S alphabets and prepared some items so that we can enjoy the moment!

Arrived at Arashiyama. It’s lunchtime!

Steam came out from the pot of boiled tofu, Yudofu.

We enjoyed chatting over delicious food.

After lunch, we restarted the tour by taking a group photo with the Togetsu-kyo Bridge.

Arrived at Tenryu-ji Temple.

Beautiful garden, with Arashiyama and Kameyama mountains behind the garden.

Arrived at Bamboo Forest.

It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Kyoto.

We enjoyed eating around and shopping until the last minute!
