How do we think about cooperativity and adaptation with the E. coli chemotaxis response?
Escherichia coli responds to serine and aspartate as an attractant and to isoleucine as a repellent, and moves toward a favorable environment. Various experimental and theoretical studies have been carried out, and in this colloquium, experiments and models will be presented.
