The purpose of the Young Researchers Summer Retreat is to provide our students and young research staff with an opportunity to freely mix with one another and discuss their present studies and future research goals in a relaxed atmosphere away from their laboratories and supervisors in order to stimulate interdisciplinary research activities through student initiative. This is the sixth year that we are inviting graduate students and young researchers from foreign institutes to participate. We hope the different education and cultural backgrounds will further stimulate new research ideas and collaborations.

This years venue is the KKR Hotel Kuni-so, located in the heart of Kyoto by the Kamo River running and offering many local attractions within a short distance, including the Imperial Palace, Heianjingu, Simogamo Shrine, and Ginkaku Temple. It is all yours to make this opportunity a wonderful experience. Please come join our students and postdocs.
