Please tell us about the research theme you are currently working on.

I use cellular slime mold to study "chemotaxis," a phenomenon where cells move in response to chemical concentration gradients. What's fascinating is that a single cell can respond across a wide range of concentrations, yet the mechanism remains a mystery. I am approaching this research from both the cellular and protein levels to uncover how it works.

Are there any FBS events that left a lasting impression on you?

The FBS Retreat. It was incredible to spend the whole night discussing research with professors and students from other labs – people I rarely get the chance to talk to. Hearing the professors share their research history and surprising backgrounds made it a great learning experience.

I think FBS is a place where, even if you don't have a clear vision yet, you can find a lab that makes you think, "This research looks fun." I look forward to hearing about the unique research that excites you.
