Welcome party・Farewell party
We will hold the welcome party and the farewell party respectively.
Welcome party is the first time that we meet face to face. It thought a chance to make friends before the retreat.
Farewell party contains the oral presentation session by some applicants.

Self-introduction
We will separate the participants into some groups, so please introduce yourself in a group using the handouts which you prepared. Any content is fine for your handouts. We are expecting a unique handouts!

Poster Discussion
We ask all participants to prepare a poster outlining their research. You can discuss your research with people from different fields. You should prepare your talk and poster simple to understand for researchers in different fields, and focus on the fundamental significance of your work.

Oral Presentation
We organize an oral presentation by participants those who are interested in it. It would be wonderful chance for you to appeal your exciting story directly to the participants.
*The presenters will be selected by the committee members, when the number of applicants exceeds the quota.

Group Discussion
You will have an opportunity to discuss various topics in each group. We will bring up some charming topics to discuss. You would find many interesting ideas and thinking ways through various perspectives. Discussion in culture of diversity would bring you the exiting moment.
Special Lecture
Prof. Hiroshi Ishiguro kindly got our offer of the special lecture! He is one of very famous, wonderful and quite unique researcher at Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka Univ.
His robotic research has been widely known since his icon; his clone android has been often reported in the media in Japan.
He keeps creating sophisticated and humorous robots to create a better life for people. Furthermore, he is also enthusiastic about addressing “what is humanity?”
You might get a big impact or inspiration from his path, passion and dreams.
Abstract
Excursion
Let’s enjoy the excursion in Kyoto City! We will go to traditional temples or shrines.
You can experience Japanese traditional culture such as dyeing technique, wearing yukata.
It would be fun for you to have your relaxing time with your friends!
*It costs about 3,000 yen for the experience-based tour above.
*The plan might be changed depends on the total number of the people who want to take these tours.
