Ever since the first time I encountered the mechanisms of neural circuits, I have been fascinated by their elegant organization. I wanted to study at FBS because it is a graduate school with world-leading researchers, including those exploring neuroscience fields with a particular focus on the neurophysiology of vision.
During my graduate studies, I focused on improving in vivo imaging methods to reveal certain brain mechanisms. There were challenging periods when I needed to build various types of original equipment and computer programs by myself in addition to using the existing experimental devices.
Nowadays, I study visual circuit mechanisms at the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Nagoya University. I am working to create new devices for discovering the unexplored phenomena in the brain based on the frontier spirit of science, i.e., “make it if it does not exist!” Please enjoy the cutting edge of science at FBS!
