Faculty position (Assistant Professor in the Ishijima Lab)

The Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences (FBS), Osaka University, invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Ishijima Lab.

The candidate should have research experience in the field of biophysics or nano-measurements or imaging or optical microscope approach and we expected high achievements in this field. Successful candidate should cooperate with Prof. Ishijima and is expected to commit education in FBS. The position will be open early in 2016.

Please submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a list of publications distinguishing original papers and review articles, the record of funding in the past, PDF files of your 3 most important papers, a detailed statement of your research in the past correlating with published papers (within 1000 words), and a research plan and your teaching interests (within 1000 words).

Please also provide the list of three referees with their contact addresses. All application materials should be supplied both in a printed form and an electronic form recorded on CD-ROM as PDF files.

The application materials should be received by January 15th, 2016. The applicants may be interviewed during the selection procedure.

Salary shall be based on the 'Rules Pertaining to Salary for National University Corporation Osaka University Staff.'
*Please note that Osaka University is considering the adoption of an annual salary system starting 1 April, 2016, so the current system may be subject to change. Employee would not be paid a retirement allowance but would be paid performance bonuses under the provisions of the proposed annual salary system.
