Faculty position (Assistant Professor in the Yagi Lab)

The Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences (FBS), Osaka University, invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Yagi Lab, which starts in 2017 April.

The candidate should have research experience in the field of genetics, molecular biology, and/or physiology using individual mice. We seek an independent and highly motivated researcher. Successful candidate should cooperate with Prof. Yagi and is expected to commit education and management in FBS. The position is immediately available.

Submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a list of publications including original papers and review articles, the record of funding in the past, PDF files of three most important papers, a summary of the researches in the past correlating with published papers (within 1000 words), and a future research plan (within 1000 words). The list of three referees with their contact addresses should be also provided. All application materials should be supplied as PDF files.

The application materials should be received by January 6th, 2017. The short-listed applicants will be interviewed.

Salary shall be based on the 'Salary Regulations for National University Corporation Osaka University Limited Term Academic Staff Subject to Annual Salary System.'

The separate regulations may apply in case where the previous employment period is included in calculation of the "period of continuous service" defined in the Regulations Pertaining to Retirement Allowance for National University Corporation Osaka University Limited Term Staff.
