Name card

Name card can be picked up at the registration desk in front of the conference room (2nd floor) 13:00 – 14:30, on Friday, April 20. Please confirm receipt(s) of your registration payment attached with your name card. We kindly ask you to wear your name card visibly throughout the meeting. Name cards guarantee access to the conference hall.

Internet access

Free WiFi internet access is available in the hotel including the lobby, conference hall, and rooms.

Data recording

The recording of posters and slides by any means is not permitted.

Oral presentation

Invited talks: 25 min (18min talk + 7min Q&A)

Short talks: 15 min (10min talk + 5min Q&A)

Please bring your computer to the control desk in the hall during coffee or lunch break before the session starts. We encourage you to bring your presentation file on a USB flash drive for back-up as well. Be sure to bring an AC adaptor. Your cooperation to keep your presentation on time is critical and thus greatly appreciated.

Poster presentation

All poster presenters are requested to introduce your poster for 1 min (1 min poster preview) in the Poster Preview Session on Friday, April 20. For poster presenters, please send 1 PDF slide (A4 or letter size, horizontally long, less than 5 MB) by the end of March to

PDF file should include your name and your abstract title, , and the file name should be XXXX_YYYY_PosterPreview.pdf where XXXX and YYYY are replaced with your first and last names, respectively.

Example: Koji_Yamano_PosterPreview.pdf

The size of the display board: 90 cm (width) x 210 cm (height)

Note: short-talk speakers are excluded from a poster presentation.

Display boards will be set up in the conference hall and Room #203. Please use pushpins near your board and mount your poster during 8:00-9:00 AM on Saturday, April 21 before the morning session starts. Poster presenters with odd and even numbers are requested to stand by their posters at 13:30-14:10 and 14:10-14:50, respectively. Please remove your poster before 21:00 on Saturday, April 21.


Only the following meals are included in your registration fees.

Dinner at the welcome party (evening on Friday, April 20) and Lunch Box (lunch on Sunday, April 22). Drinks and light snacks will be served during coffee break.

Student registration

Student package is exclusively designed for all the graduate and doctor students who have not received the doctor degree. Please show your student ID at the reception desk upon arrival.

From Kyoto Station to the venue

You take a subway at Kyoto Station to go to SHIJO (四条) station. Exit from gate #13 and walk around 10 min to get the venue.

Alternatively, you can take a taxi at Kyoto station. It will take 10-15 min and cost approximately 1,200-1,500 JPY.
